RE: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace Arrows

I found RV Skylight on line at www.rvskylight.com that is made out of Lexan(?) that they say you an beat them with a ball bat with no damage. They are a little pricey (17 X 25 AT $103) and comes with a 5 year warranty. Have not order them yet, but thinking about it. We always park under trees and during the Ohio summer storms, the wind throws a lot of tree limbs, tree nuts and hail on top of the RV roof and I always worry about the sky light getting damage.

RE: 2000 Fleetwood Pace Arrow

I had a 1999 and had problems with the Ford transmission going out two times in three years. They replaced it the first time and repaired it the second. Unknown if this is a Ford V-10 problem or just my bad luck. I got rid of it after the second repair. Like anything that used, I would spend the money to have a mechanic look it over real good.

Power Gear Jacks- FYI and preventative maintenance I had my jacks down and when I tried to retract the jacks, nothing happen. All the lights on the control pad looked normal but the jacks would not go up. I was not in a very good mood knowing that I would have to get under the rig and release the fluid from the pump manifold to get the jacks up(what a mess). Before I did that I checked all of the wires and connectors from dash board to the jacks. I got under the rig and checked all of the ground wires and the wires to the manifold, there are four sets on my pump. The four connecters look like the flat trailer light type connecters with two wires. When I found one of the connectors was so corroded that I had to pry it apart with vice grips and a screw driver I knew I found the problem. After cleaning all of the connecters, I put some Di-Electric Grease on the connectors to prevent the corrosion. The jacks work fine now.

RE: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace Arrows

Nope. Here is the info from the invoice. Quantity: 2; Part Number: FW/405528; Desc: Skylight, Dome Ext 14 x 22 Wht; Price: 29.35; Disc: 10%; Amount: 52.65. Shipping for the order, which included some other parts, was 0.00. There was, of course, sales tax. Good old Fleetwood, I think the different prices is because Fleetwood uses different sizes. On our 2004 37C is 18x36 in the kitchen and 18x24 in the bath.

RE: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace Arrows

Meme, Thanks, I got the same thing from Dometic a few week ago but I didn't know it was called a baffle kit. Like you, I have not put it on yet but looks simple. What my refrigerator was doing is when I am driving down the Interstate 55+ and the wind was blowing in just the right direction on the side, the wind would go down the flew and blow out the flame. It would relight then get blown out over and over until the check light comes on. I am going to start puting the wind block on the the top refrigerator side vent to see if that stops the wind. Paul & Sue: I am hoping you see this message and can let me know if you did install the baffle kit on your P/A and whether you ended up with it installed on the top or bottom vents and if it worked for you? We are still having the problem but we installed the kit on the bottom vents with really no success. Hope to hear from you. Meme Hi all, I have been away from the WiFi. I put the baffle kit on the top vents. The wind was going into the top of the baffle then down the tube blowing out the flame. Unknown if this helped or not because I was wondering around a RV parts warehouse and found a L shape shield that cliped over the top of the baffle tube that let the fumes/heat out and blocked the wind from blowing in. It was used part setting on a old RV refrigerator on the ground. I only use it when I travel and I take it off when I stop for awhile.

RE: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace Arrows

Just found out that I have to stay in Ohio until Nov, I am going to get cold. Never had to stay in a cold area in a RV before. Has anyone out there stayed in their P/A when it can get to 30 to 20 degrees? Is there some areas in the P/A that I must watch out for freezing the water pipes? I have a extend-A-stay ordered so I can use outside propane tanks to keep the furnaces running and not have to move to get propane tanks filled. I noticed that the rear bedroom furnace has a heater pipe to the basement, but it is in the very rear of the basement and I am concern about the fresh water tank, water pump and pipes up to the front of the basement.

RE: Cactus League Spring Training

Several friends have done it but most are volunteer jobs for the ball park, not the teams. I have seen some ads in the local Phoenix newspapers for some paying jobs selling food at the parks. Try searching some of the parks on the web and pulling up their web sites for upcoming employment.

Took lightning hit thru plug in oxford,Ms week ago. Took out plug, coffee pot, back tv,microwave(still checking),poped fuse on fridge(Found and fixed)I now have no charging system for my batteries. Is my converter in the fuse panel under the sink? Is there a fuse somewhere I can check?Charging batteries with plugin charger for now. also my generator is still putting out voltage but not converting to 12 volts hope it is same fuse or problem. In Jackson, Ms. on a job right now. Thanks GREG Email hgcjlewis@gmail.com GREG, If your converter is under the washer/dryer like mine and you have to replace it, let us know how you had to do it. I looked at my converter and was wondering how hard it would be to replace and if you had to remove the washer/dryer. Good luck Paul

RE: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace Arrows

Electrical Question The two kitchen 110 outlets are putting out low power--around 92 volts. I have fiddled around with the electrical system for a couple of days and have concluded that the circuit breaker is not the problem, and interestingly enough, the bathroom 110 GFI outlet, which is on the same circuit, reads 112 volts. I have dropped all power off of the coach; checked every fuse, and followed the wiring as much as I can with nothing unusual found. Anyone had a similar problem, or any good ideas before I schedule our PA into the dealer? Had the same problem and it almost caused a fire, it did melt the outlet. If your wiring is the same as my 37C, the circuit runs from the breaker to the GFI outlet in the bathroom, then goes to the outlet inside your water/electric basement compartment outside. Then it runs to a junction box in the kitchen slideout wall then to the kitchens outlets. (As you can see I had fun tracing this) My problem was the outlet in the water/electric basement compartment. The hot wire came loose and was shorting out inside the outlet box. I would check there, Fleetwood used a cheap outlet and the wire just came out. Then I would check inside the junction box behind the slideout wall. I had to remove the wood inspection plate then started bring in the slideout until you see the junction box. saber, Sorry, I am on the road and just re-read my post. After the wires goes to the metal junction box in the wall, there it splits with one wire going to the kitchen outlet and the other wire goes to the outlet in the basement compartment under the kitchen. Let us know how this works out. Paul

RE: Missouri I-44,St LouisI-270,I-64 to Lexington conditions

Thanks for the updates I will keep checking. I was thinking about staying on I-40 then go north, but I-40 was really bad last year in Arkansas, it felt like I was going to loose an axle. PS: The MoDot site has some good info on their roads, don't know how fast they update closings but a lot of info.

Missouri I-44,St LouisI-270,I-64 to Lexington conditions

Looking for the road conditions on I-44 from Oklahoma City, up Missouri to and around St Louis on I-270 to I-64 and through Illinois, Indiana to Lexington KY. The news is giving some info on a lot of flooding in this area and roads being closed. Thanks

RE: Workhorse air cleaner

You call call Workhorse to see if there is any difference between W-22 and W-24 but we both have the same engine. From 2001 to present, the Workhorse air filter is W8800481 and the AC Delco is A1236C. The foam pre-filter should be clean in soap and water then dried.

RE: AC cover cracked up

Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy a one inch wide by 1/4 thick aluminum band that is long enough to go across the A/C unit top. Mark and drill the holes and mount it with the bolts that holds down the front of the A/C cover. I only did across the front of the A/C but you can do both the front and rear of the cover if you want. This will keep the cover on and also enough to keep the cover from cracking further. They sell these at Camping World but if you make them yourself you can save a lot of cash.

RE: Wind Sensor A & E Weather Pro Awning

Hi Guys, Anyone have experience with the wind sensor on a A & E Weather Pro Awning ?? Mine stopped working, Can it be dissassembled and cleaned ?? Can it be repaired or maintained ?? Reading from the user guide: It states that there is a audible alarm in the control box that will sound if there is a problem with the wind sensor or the sensor cable when the sensor switch is "on" The only maintenance on the sensor unit on the roof is keep it clean of debris and the sensing element can be cleaned with a small soft bristle brush.

RE: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace Arrows

Jim, I was under my P/A today working on the slideout's and I remembered the passenger side rear had about 1 to 1 1/2 off the stop. I am going back tomorrow and I will check the rest. Jim, go to www.irv2.com and go to the Workhorse forum and ask. They will be able to tell what it should be and what you can do to fix the problem.
